CEFCO is not closing in the traditional sense, but the name is being phased out in a major way. Casey’s acquired 198 CEFCO convenience stores through its purchase of Fikes Wholesale, then said it would begin rebranding those stores at the start of 2026.

That makes this more of a brand disappearance than a mass shuttering. The stores were part of Casey’s $1.145 billion acquisition of Fikes Wholesale, a deal that expanded Casey’s in Texas, Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi. For customers, the biggest change may be the sign outside rather than the building itself.
