On January 27, 1976, Laverne & Shirley officially premiered on ABC as a spin-off from Happy Days. The series followed Laverne DeFazio and Shirley Feeney, two young women living in Milwaukee during the late 1950s who worked at the fictional Shotz Brewery bottling plant.
