#20: Giving Up Hobbies That Keep Your Mind Active
It is normal for hobbies to change with age, especially if eyesight, energy, mobility, or money becomes a factor. But dropping every mentally engaging activity can make the days feel smaller. Reading, puzzles, music, crafts, games, classes, and creative projects all give the mind something meaningful to work with.

Instead of quitting completely, adjust the hobby to fit your life now. Try audiobooks, larger-print materials, seated classes, simpler tools, online groups, or shorter sessions. The activity does not need to be impressive. It just needs to keep curiosity alive and give the week something enjoyable to look forward to.
