It can be frustrating to notice that a busy day takes more out of you than it used to. Comparing your energy to younger relatives, coworkers, or your own younger self can lead to guilt or overdoing it. That pressure may make people ignore rest until they feel completely drained.

It is healthier to plan around the energy you actually have now. Space out errands, build in recovery time, and choose the most important tasks first. Needing more rest does not mean you are lazy or weak. It means your body deserves a pace that supports your life.
