#42: Letting Retirement Remove All Structure From Your Day
Retirement can feel freeing at first, especially after years of work schedules and obligations. But without any structure, days can start to blur together. Sleep may get irregular, meals may shift, and motivation can dip. Too much open time can sometimes leave people feeling restless, lonely, or less purposeful.

A better approach is to keep a gentle routine, not a rigid one. Plan regular wake times, meals, walks, errands, hobbies, and social contact. Leave room for rest and spontaneity, but give the week a shape. Structure can make retirement feel calmer, fuller, and more satisfying.
