#43: Crash Dieting
Crash diets can be tempting when someone wants quick results, especially after weight gain, a health scare, or a special event. But strict plans can leave older adults tired, underfed, and frustrated. Cutting calories too sharply may also make it harder to get enough protein, vitamins, and steady energy.

A healthier path is to make changes that are realistic enough to keep. Smaller portions, more vegetables, enough protein, fewer sugary drinks, and regular movement can help without shock tactics. Food should support strength and daily life, not become a punishment. Slow progress is often safer and easier to maintain.
