#53: Avoiding the Doctor Out of Embarrassment
Embarrassing symptoms are easy to hide, especially when they involve digestion, bladder leaks, skin changes, sexual health, memory, or mood. Many people stay quiet because they do not want to feel exposed or judged. But doctors hear these concerns all the time, and silence can let treatable problems get worse.

A better approach is to write the concern down before the appointment and hand it to the doctor if saying it out loud feels difficult. Bring a trusted person if that helps. Medical visits are not about shame. They are about getting answers, relief, and support for real-life problems.
