#54: Letting One Fall Go Unmentioned
A fall can feel embarrassing, especially if nothing seems broken afterward. Some people laugh it off, blame themselves, or keep it quiet because they do not want family to worry. But even one fall can signal a balance, vision, medication, footwear, or home-safety issue that should be looked at.

It is better to mention it to a doctor or trusted caregiver, even if you feel mostly fine. Notice where it happened, what you were doing, and whether dizziness or weakness played a role. Talking about a fall is not giving up independence. It is protecting it.
